Ride of The Lions: see why Jimmy has been training hard!

Jimmy2Over the last few months Jimmy Hibbert, the founder of Dress2kill, has been training hard for his sponsored charity cycle ride from Melbourne to Sydney, which is to take place in between the 2nd and 3rd Lions Tests.  Jimmy is hoping to help raise £250K for Walking With The Wounded Charity.  He will be doing the ride with other ex British & Irish Lions, including Roger Utley and Mike Teague, as well as some ex Australian Internationals. They are all paying their own way, so all the monies donated will go directly towards Walking with The Wounded Charity.

Why ‘Walking with The Wounded’ Charity?

Dress2kill highly esteems the incredible work of WWTW because they help enable many wounded soilders get retrained and re-educated for alternative careers, post army injuries. Without the work of WWTW, many faithful men and women wounded soldiers could struggle to find work. If you would like to support the work of the charity and sponsor Jimmy Hibbert on his Ride of The Lions challenge, we would be hugely grateful: http://www.bmycharity.com/lionsride

How will they Raise the £250K?!

The funds will be raised through personal donations and a series of events, which is why we really value all the help towards this great cause that we can get! Our latest fundraising event, which was held at The Richmond Golf Club was a great success – we raised over £8000. And Dress2kill’s 100% cotton Fresh Pants went down extrememly well too, even if we do say so ourselves! If you like the sound of these, you can purchase some here: http://www.d2k.co.uk/pants

Sponsors and Supporters

Whilst there is not time to mention everyone who is supporting us here, in the spirit of celebrating all things cycling, we would like to give a big shout out to our friends at Road Rags who produce luxurious merino wool cycling gear, the perfect solution for all urban cyclists! Road Rags can be found in our Waterloo Dress2kill store. We like the fact that all their products are produced in Britain: http://www.roadrags.cc/home
